Membership
The corporate charter of Northern Magic Agility Dogs (NOMAD) states NOMAD’s purpose:
“Educating the public about humane training and treatment of dogs through the sport of dog agility, and promoting the human-canine bond. Every NOMAD activity shall be open to all dogs with appropriate training.”
During the summer and early fall months, NOMAD holds weekly practices at various locations. (Check out our member photos page to see what these are like.) All NOMADers are welcome to participate in these sessions with dogs that have completed 12 weeks of agility training, or the equivalent, and have a working familiarity with all standard agility obstacles.
We occasionally offer agility demonstrations and seminars, sometimes by NOMAD members and sometimes by well-known presenters from around the country. All NOMAD members are eligible to attend these events.
We request that all NOMAD members volunteer to help with NOMAD’s trials and other activities. When you join NOMAD, we will share a list of the various committees so you can find something that interests you to help out with.
Members are encouraged to join NOMAD’s Facebook group to keep up-to-date on news and activities.
